TV…What is it good for?!?


It’s well known that once you become a parent that you also begin to watch more cartoons than you did prior to children. Or at least you now watch cartoons that are more child friendly. Maybe, who knows?

My point is, cartoons.

While watching Loud House, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, etc. I’ve noticed a theme. They all teach lessons.

Be a good person.

Be truthful.

Share with others.

Learn to see things from a different perspective.

Forgive people.

Accept people.

#WaldoWednesday


I chose this quote today because it’s something I’ve struggled with recently. I couldn’t control the situation that caused the feelings but I did realize I could control whether I got angry and stayed angry.

For a while I stayed angry but then I decided I was tired of giving the instigators power over me and decided to instead be happy. When other people and outside forces seek to draw you into their toxic circle it’s so easy to get sucked in because you don’t always see it coming or realize it happening.

Do you like this saying by Eleanor Roosevelt? ME TOO!! Once I read it I felt like “DAMN! This lady is a genius!! Why did I think of that?” It also got me thinking. I allow others to do this to me.
