Sewing with your left hand should be more fun…

Hey guys!

Have you missed me?

I spent nine days at home for a staycation this year over the holiday and loved every minute! I got to spend all day, every day with my daughter.

It gave me a glimpse of what it would be like to be a stay at home mom. It was bittersweet. It taught me a great deal and gave me even more respect for all stay at home moms.

Being a working mom I feel that more often than not I see my co-workers more than I see my family. But at the same time I feel that I’m teaching Eme early that nothing is without sacrifice.  Continue reading “Sewing with your left hand should be more fun…”

Unpopular Culture…The Interview

14716321_1795993097326627_8850438171436342810_n

Hello friends! I’m so very excited to bring to you my interview with the hosts of Unpopular Culture, a podcast that opens your mind to the world around you. Michael Drane and Corey Stewart are two very profound people and I cannot thank them enough for agreeing to be interviewed.

I’ll tell you, I’m a HUGE fangirl of both of them. I’ve listened to every show and have the honor of interacting with them on Facebook, as well. In fact, I love their show and their message so much that I became a cult-follower and donate money to the show each month in the hopes that it helps them reach a broader audience. They don’t preach or insist; they present you with information – which may be new to you – then discuss it.

The subject matter varies from show to show, but you always learn something new. I personally think that’s one of the most important things in life, learning.

I planned to make this a two part post, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to combine it and to let you all embrace all that is Unpopular Culture. These two people, along with Justin and Ryan (special co-hosts) have created a space in the podcasting world that is unlike anything I have listened to thus far.

Without any more babble from me…I’m excited to introduce you to Michael Drane and Corey Stewart!!!! Continue reading “Unpopular Culture…The Interview”

I Say Friday, You Say Party (Thanks Teen Titans GO!)

Happy Friday!!

friday-1270362_960_720

This has been some week, right!

Well, maybe for me. Monday through Wednesday is a blur, I’m pretty sure it was just one long day. I felt like I was constantly going!! That was actually good, these last two days have dragged ass and has made for long work days.

On the home front my little Ninja is being her marvelous self. Last night she chased the laser with the cat and tried sweeping the backyard. Gotta love a kid who volunteers to clean, and at such a young age too! She’s also learned how to blow kisses, it’s the cutest thing EVER!

I’ve reached a point that my “fat” clothes no longer want to fit right at all. SIGH…I mean, it’s a good thing but also means I need to go shopping. I hate shopping! Dressing rooms always seem to be so damn hot, or maybe that’s just me having a panic attack. I can never find a decent shirt.

ATTENTION CLOTHING DESIGNERS!! SOME OF US ARE LONG WAISTED!

I’m also trying to get into accessories! My friend is selling the Paparazzi jewelry (EVERYTHING IS $5) and I’m completely addicted! I want to buy everything and it’s a struggle now to! The rings are to die for! They have elastic bands so no worries about sausage fingers.

I don’t get anything for asking you to check it out. I just love it and share what I love!

Yesterday was bring your kid to work day, I cannot wait until my little bird is old enough to bring to work! It’s perfect that she isn’t now, I work with some people I don’t want tainting my kids with their negative shit. They’ll be gone by the time she can come with me. Damn, that sounds really mean but oh well. I’m in that kind of mood today.

I’m happy but not taking any shit! I highly recommend it!

SO happy Friday and enjoy your weekend. Love your people and love yourself!

Do you Influenster?

Has anyone tried Influenster? I randomly came across them on my Facebook feed. I have a few friends that seem to enjoy the free stuff they receive so I figured, me too!!

I love reviewing products, I always post to amazon about all the items I buy and I’m always honest. A long time ago I noticed that people only generally reviewed or commented about something to complain and that bothered me. Good work and or a great product deserves recognition as well. Plus when you find that awesome something, you should share it with others. You never know who has been looking for that same thing.

Anyways, I signed up and have been having a blast! I’ve written reviews on everyday items we use in the house, make-up, foods, drinks, etc. I even linked up my social media accounts and my blog to increase my influence. I’m always looking to try new things and ways to utilize my blog. What better way! I won’t get paid but I will get to use products and share them with you. That’s exciting to me. I already review on amazon so why not expand on that?

They have EVERYTHING! Just as an example. I reviewed Twix candies yesterday. I LOVE Twix! I get craving for it and send my husband text with threats of harm if I don’t get one. It’s all joking of course but he always gets me my Twix. The point is, you can review just about anything.

You can also get coupons, win prizes, create wishlists and ask questions or give answers to other consumers.

This is only day 2 for me as a new influenster but I’m excited to see what comes of it, if anything at all. No matter what I think it will benefit me. I’ll get to write more reviews, which allows me to write more in general, and hone my skills.

I should also mention that Influenster has an app on itunes and the playstore. It’s easy to use and accessible anywhere. There’s no reason not to try.
