Keep the changes coming!
On February 22nd I decided to take a leap. No, not off a bridge but into my future. I decided to become a distributor for SeneGence. There are a company founded in the United States that sells everything from LipSense to skincare.
Starting this side venture changed my life. I have this phenomenal support team who is there day and night to answer all my questions. They encourage me to be the best me and it feels so good!
In fact, it’s felt so right that I’ve not had one moment of doubt. I didn’t feel that way with my other short venture into the Direct Sales world. That’s ok though, I learned what I was looking for and what I was willing to do to change my life. Everything is about learning and growing, right? Continue reading “Have you tried LipSense?”
I had an interesting conversation last night with a great friend. I first met this person over the summer, he invited me to guest host on his podcast. It was exactly what my anxiety needed to freak out! Why the heck would this professional want me on his show?!?! I was terrified, until the day we recorded. He made me feel so comfortable and accepted. That’s a huge deal for me. Since that time, he’s become someone I respect, admire and look forward to interacting with, when time zones and schedules allow.

I was listening to Nick G, from The Dependent Independent, this morning and he really inspired me. He was talking about being grateful. More importantly, he was talking about the mundane, every day stuff, that we can and should be thankful for but sometimes feel ashamed for feeling grateful.
For instance, I’m grateful for how confident I am becoming. Saying that out loud might seem pompous or egotistical but that’s ok. I’ve worked really hard to become more confident. I still have days and moments when I’m far from confident but that is also ok. I’m grateful for the change. Continue reading “Thankful at Thanksgiving”
Have you missed me?
I spent nine days at home for a staycation this year over the holiday and loved every minute! I got to spend all day, every day with my daughter.
It gave me a glimpse of what it would be like to be a stay at home mom. It was bittersweet. It taught me a great deal and gave me even more respect for all stay at home moms.
Being a working mom I feel that more often than not I see my co-workers more than I see my family. But at the same time I feel that I’m teaching Eme early that nothing is without sacrifice. Continue reading “Sewing with your left hand should be more fun…”
Hello friends! I’m so very excited to bring to you my interview with the hosts of Unpopular Culture, a podcast that opens your mind to the world around you. Michael Drane and Corey Stewart are two very profound people and I cannot thank them enough for agreeing to be interviewed.
I’ll tell you, I’m a HUGE fangirl of both of them. I’ve listened to every show and have the honor of interacting with them on Facebook, as well. In fact, I love their show and their message so much that I became a cult-follower and donate money to the show each month in the hopes that it helps them reach a broader audience. They don’t preach or insist; they present you with information – which may be new to you – then discuss it.
The subject matter varies from show to show, but you always learn something new. I personally think that’s one of the most important things in life, learning.
I planned to make this a two part post, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to combine it and to let you all embrace all that is Unpopular Culture. These two people, along with Justin and Ryan (special co-hosts) have created a space in the podcasting world that is unlike anything I have listened to thus far.
Without any more babble from me…I’m excited to introduce you to Michael Drane and Corey Stewart!!!! Continue reading “Unpopular Culture…The Interview”
