In the chaos that is life I realized that I haven’t taken the time to let you all know about some awesome free stuff I’ve acquired from different websites, along with some inexpensive treasures I’ve picked up in my adventures.
I mentioned a long while ago that I signed up for Ipsy.com right? For $10 a month I get 5 random pieces of make-up from five different companies.
The first, Glam Bag, as they’re called, blew my mind! I love everything! The cute ice cream make up bag, the gorgeous blue organic gel nail polish, the foundation brush, the eyeshadow and the awesome on the go foundation from Estee Lauder. I haven’t really used the bronzer that came with my bag because I’m clueless on it and don’t know that I need a bronzer. Who knows?
What a treat for my first bag, they’ve set the bar pretty high. I’m super anxious to see what June brings me.
I keep all my extra eye shadows in the ice cream bag, so yay organization!
The nail polish is nice but did start to chip after about 4 days. It might last longer on someone that isn’t chasing a toddler but I loved the color and will use it until it’s gone.
The foundation brush is SO soft! It’s from luxiebeauty.com. I’m definitely looking forward to purchasing more of these brushes, it’s like touching your skin with a butterfly wing. There is never any streaking, so my foundation is perfect! I seriously love this brush.
I’m also a huge fan of the eyeshadow. I’ve never used the brand before but I will now and forever. The pigment is so rich! It’s from Pacificia, the brand is cruelty free and vegan. I had no idea that a makeup could be vegan but whatever, I love it! The glides on so smooth and doesn’t crease! My eye shadows looks the same at 5pm as it did at 6am without a single touch up.
I was skeptical about the Estee Lauder foundation at first. I tried using it with a brush and it wasn’t pretty. Streaks and no blending…forget about it! But when I used the applicator that came with it I changed my mind. I like that it applies wet and dries instantly. It’s perfect for on the go, which I am…all the time! It’s something I would never have bought on my own but am glad to have had the opportunity to try.
I don’t have much to say about the bronzer, I haven’t used it. I’ve never used bronzer, where do I even start? I guess at some point I’ll try it but right now I see no need.
Signing up for Ipsy inspired me to think outside my box on makeup. I’m now looking for and finding great deal everywhere!
I was at Winco recently and found some white eye shadow and makeup brushes for 50 cents apiece! You can’t beat that, unless it’s free but you know what I mean. They’re from Wet N Wild, a brand I already love so it was a win all the way around.
BzzAgent.com is another hidden treasure for anyone looking to test products for major brands. I signed up for them around the same time as I did for Influenster.com. BzzAgent sent me a full box of Gluten Free Elbow and Fettuccine noodles….FULL BOXES! I’d never had GF pasta before and was hesitant but bit the bullet and tried it. SUCCESS! The pasta was delicious and so light. I avoid pasta in general because it makes me feel bloated and weighed down but not anymore. I am full converted. Sign me up for GF everything!
If you’re in the mood or on the lookout for items to fill up for arts & crafts but don’t want to break the bank, then head for your local 99 cent store. I go every week, it gets us out of the house and I find some really great stuff. I picked up a glue gun and some foam pieces this weekend, a great help in my endeavor to create an activity board for my little ninja.
Now go forth and review, create and bargain hunt!
