It’s well known that once you become a parent that you also begin to watch more cartoons than you did prior to children. Or at least you now watch cartoons that are more child friendly. Maybe, who knows?
My point is, cartoons.
While watching Loud House, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, etc. I’ve noticed a theme. They all teach lessons.
Be a good person.
Share with others.
Learn to see things from a different perspective.
The lists goes on and on. Great lessons taught in a simple way. Which got me thinking…at what point does that change? Continue reading “TV…What is it good for?!?”
I’m sitting here staring at the screen. What do I want to write about? I know I want to put words on paper so to speak but the topic or topics elude me.
I have so many thoughts that run through my head but they just seem more like ramblings in my mind. They’re always there, they never stop and I find comfort in them oddly enough. There are many times when I want to share my thoughts with people but then I wonder, is it worth the debates or conversations that will usually start or end with someone trying to change my mind? It seems that you can never share your thoughts with people anymore without someone telling you you’re wrong. How are thoughts and opinions wrong? I might not agree with you and you might not agree with me but that doesn’t make either of us wrong. I can only think of a handful of people that I can have real discussions with but we all get so busy, who has the time? Continue reading “Rabble, Rabble, Rabble”
Mark your calendars folks!! September 19, 2015 is the day The Doctor returns to our screens!! This trailer has my mind racing with possibilities. I know for many that Peter Capaldi hasn’t lived up to Doctor Who standard but I love him. I think he’s a brilliant Doctor. I feel like he plays the Doctor as almost a new Time Lord and really isn’t that what he is?!? After Matt Smith received 12 new regenerations from his people through the crack it makes sense to me that this Doctor is fresh, he looks at the world anew again but also remembers all the lives he’s lived til this point.
I do hope this is the last season for Jenna Coleman. She’s had her time with two doctors now and needs to move on. She’s a delightful woman and I can see her in movies, TV and more for many years but it’s time to pass the torch. I’d like to see the new companion be older (I don’t have a gender preference) and possibly even alien.
I did enjoy Michelle Gomez as The Master, she was creepy and weird but strangely intriguing. Her face is so expressive and it really seemed like she was enjoying herself in the role. I don’t know if she could travel with The Doctor given their history but I so look forward to them sharing the screen again!
Well shoot it wouldn’t let me post the trailer itself but here’s a link to watch it on Facebook 🙂 Doctor Who Trailer
